The Home Depot Veterans Repair project is not open at the time.  Please monitor our website for the updated dates in which we expect it to reopen. 

The Veteran's Repair Corps program is a grant funded program for critical home repairs, specifically for Veterans who meet the income qualifications.  All Homeowners who participate in Habitat repair programs are required to pay back 10% of the total cost of the project.

Qualifications for the Veteran's Repair Corps Program: 

  • Veteran must be listed on the Deed and/or Mortgage 

  • Veteran and household must not exceed 80% AMI maximum income (see chart below) 

In order to start the application process to find out if you qualify for this particular program, the Veteran or widow of a Veteran must complete the following:

  • Completed Veteran's Repair Corps Application (can be picked up at 3712 Airport Blvd. Mobile, AL 36608) 

  • Homeowner's Deed information/statement (if applicable) 

  • DD214 (If you cannot locate the DD214, please contact Alabama Veteran Administration at 251-574-8578 to make an appointment to obtain the DD214 form)  

  • Driver's License or State Issued Identification for all household members

  • Last three (3) consecutive months of all checking and/or savings bank statements

  • Verification of Veteran Administration Benefits (if applicable) 

  • Verification of Social Security Benefits (if applicable) 

  • Verification of Retirement Income (if applicable)

Please submit the completed application, along with the above supporting documentation to the Family Services Coordinator for the Veteran Repair Corps Program, either by mail (PO Box 16422 Mobile, AL 36616), or they may be dropped off at: 3712 Airport Blvd. Mobile, AL 36608
